About this component
The drive unit pulls the chain and sets the conveyor speed. An end drive is the simplest arrangement and the one most runs use; an intermediate drive keeps a long conveyor on a single chain loop and puts the gearmotor where a maintainer can actually reach it.
Sizing is a function of chain length, product load and speed together, which is why the catalogue tables are read as a set rather than picked from a single column.
